Collective Newsroom is a new, independent company founded by four of the BBC's most senior and now former employees in India. It was launched on 10 April 2024 as a content producer for news providers in India and globally, with the BBC as its first client.
We deliver the best of Indian journalism in six Indian languages in addition to English with more than 250 journalists based in Delhi and several other Indian cities. Collective Newsroom is the BBC's sole provider of content for its six Indian-language websites, social media platforms, and YouTube channel BBC News India.
We produce and publish stories, videos, podcasts and graphics for BBC News Gujarati, BBC News Hindi, BBC News Marathi, BBC News Punjabi, BBC News Tamil and BBC News Telugu as well as BBC India's YouTube channel in English. India continues to be the BBC's largest international market with over 80 million people consuming the BBC's content across the country every week.
